Gary Ablett’s return set to be fast-tracked — and it’s a fierce rival who could help make it happen – Fox Sports
Both Geelong and Richmond CEOs have reportedly tabled a proposal to the AFL that would see respective stars Gary Ablett and Shane Edwards live together in Queensland to make their returns to their sides earlier than expected.

Ablett and Edwards have remained in Melbourne due to family reasons, with the next AFL transition hub for players and families scheduled for September 1.
However, veteran AFL journalist Caroline Wilson told Channel 9s Footy Classified both players have come together to hatch a plan to arrive in the state as early as Friday, in what would be a huge boost for their sides, who ironically will meet in Round 17.
