There’s nothing straightforward about the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers.
We knew that going into the 1 vs. 8 matchup, and we were reminded after Game 1 on Wednesday (AEST) as the Blazers pulled off a 100-93 victory.
LeBron James did his job, as did Anthony Davis, to an extent, but there was no help as the Lakers offence, who went 5-for-32 from deep, once again stuttered.
The Lakers, who were held under 100 points on three occasions during the seedings games, failed to reach triple digits once again.
