AFL moving closer to grand final clarity – The Age
Western Australia remains a chance to host this year’s grand final despite extending phase four restrictions until October 24 as the AFL moves closer to a decision on finals.

Discussions between the Victorian government and the AFL about the 2020 grand final could be completed by the end of next week, clearing the way for the league to make a decision on when and where this year’s grand final is played.
The AFL will wait until those talks are finalised before considering submissions from four states – NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia – that are pitching for the AFL grand final to be played in their state for the first time.
