New instrument paves the way to earlier detection and treatment of diseases that cause blindness
Caption: Researchers have developed a unique synchronized high-speed OCT/scanning light ophthalmoscope (SLO) system that captures the function of the retina’s rods and cones. The OCT images are co-registered with SLO images to pinpoint the location and type of photoreceptors captured in the series of 3D OCT images. The optical setup is shown.
