NRL takes aim at crusher tackles with brutal new penalties – Fox Sports
The NRL is clamping down on dangerous ‘crusher’ tackles, with significantly increased penalties put in place immediately to stem the rising tide of the damaging tackling style.
A whopping 18 charges have been laid for crusher-style tackles this season, with Broncos prop Payne Haas the latest to be sent to the judiciary following an ugly incident with Canberras Siliva Havili.
