Birmingham could be placed on the Government watchlist of cities at risk of a local lockdown and could find itself facing measures imposed elsewhere ‘within days’ a health chief has warned.
The city’s new infection rate has more than doubled in a week with 321 new cases in the last seven days
Director of public health Dr Justin Varney said it was likely the city would feature in the national “watch list” of places most at risk of intervention within days, reports Birmingham Live.
