SHE may be nearly 12,000 km away, but that hasn’t stopped this Ukrainian babushka from making sure Perth aged care residents don’t get cold feet.
Seventy-year-old Allah Shulgina from Nikopol in the Ukraine is busy knitting colourful socks for residents at Aegis Karalee aged care facility in the Perth suburb of Redcliffe.
