Jamieson gives up chance to lead City to maiden A-League title – The Age
Melbourne City captain Scott Jamieson has chosen to stay with his partner Vicky and his newborn son Cooper rather than go back to Sydney for City’s finals games.
“I have missed the deadline but in the end the decision was one that I took for the benefit of my partner and family. I have never had to choose between football and family before, but the circumstances this year made it a very different situation,” he said.
“Up to last Thursday I was planning to be back up there with the team because I really wanted to finish what we started. I felt that it was worth it, even though I would have to spend 14 days in quarantine.
