Daniel Martínez took the title after fine work in the mountains, resulting in a second-place finish in the final stage
Colombias Daniel Martínez claimed overall victory in the Criterium du Dauphine after leader Primoz Roglic pulled out of the race before Sundays fifth and final stage. Roglics withdrawal, after a crash on Saturday, looked to have given Frances Thibaut Pinot control of the race, but EF Pro Cyclings Martinez had other ideas.
