NBA player Jusuf Nurkic’s grandmother has died of COVID-19, with the Portland centre reportedly hearing the heartbreaking news while on the team bus on his way to a crucial game.
Nurkic made the following Instagram post before the Trail Blazers faced the Memphis Grizzlies within the NBA’s Orlando bubble.
The Portland player revealed about two weeks ago that his grandmother, Hana, had contracted coronavirus and slipped into a coma.
