JobKeeper ‘remarkable’, not a rort: RBA’s Lowe – The Australian Financial Review
In a wide-ranging testimony to Parliament’s economics committee, Dr Lowe said the JobKeeper program was working well but responsible lending rules were holding back credit growth.

“If the business has taken the JobKeeper payments in line with the rules and they keep people in employment, then that is what I am really focused on,” Dr Lowe said.
“I haven’t focused on whether these companies are profitable and what they do with their profits the priority is jobs.”
Dr Lowe said that there was no evidence that JobKeeper was being systematically rorted or used inappropriately. The program was “about keeping people in jobs and it has done a remarkable job”.
