Magnitude-7.6 earthquake in Japan prompts tsunami warning and evacuation order for 90,000 people
A magnitude-7.6 earthquake has hit near Japan’s north-eastern coast, prompting a tsunami warning covering a large part of the country’s coastline.
Some 90,000 people were ordered to evacuate after the quake struck at 11:15pm, local time, on Monday night.
