South-east Queensland suffers through extreme heat, fires and smoke a day after storm hits
South-east Queensland has sweltered through a day of extreme heat as firefighters battle more than 30 blazes across the region.
The smoke has also caused air quality levels in parts of the state to plummet to “poor” and “very poor”, with Brisbane shrouded in it on Monday evening.
