South-east Queensland bracing for ‘exceptional’ temperatures amid record-breaking heatwave

A record-breaking heatwave sweeping across Queensland is expected to peak in the south-east today, with temperatures forecast to reach up to 34 degrees Celsius in Brisbane.

Temperatures in Gympie and the Ipswich suburb of Amberley. are forecast to reach 38C.
