New statistics show Victoria’s most dangerous roads are in regional areas
Potholes are a fact of life around Dale Poyner’s home at Nullawil in north-west Victoria.
In 2022 and 2023, this region was hit by major rainfall and storms, causing widespread flooding and closing more than 150 roads.
