Sacramento has been selected as a site for a COVID-19 vaccine trial. Both UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente are participating in the vaccine trial through a partnership with Pfizer.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. —Sacramento has been selected as a site for a COVID-19 vaccine trial. Both UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente are participating in the vaccine trial through a partnership with Pfizer.
The trial will span 120 locations with a goal of including 30,000 applicants worldwide.
What we want the community to know is that this is really important research. Its a first step in developing a vaccine for COVID, UC Davis Medical School Dean Allison Brashear said.
