Authorities say charged man used false name to escape from Perth court

Authorities allege a man who escaped police custody on Friday afternoon used someone else’s name to do so.

Attorney General Tony Buti said custody processes are being examined to identify how the 39-year-old managed to deceive officials at the Perth Law Courts where he was being held.
