Device safely detonated after beach evacuated
A potentially explosive device has been safely detonated by police after a popular south-east Queensland beach was earlier evacuated.
Police had established an exclusion zone on the Sunshine Coast beach after a “suspicious device” was discovered shortly after midday on Friday.
