AMP CEO Francesco De Ferrari said culture was now his number one priority and admitted the mounting scandals were commanding much of his time.
I am very aware that people will draw conclusions from headlines and speculation they read in the media and it does require a lot of effort from our teams … Culture was always a big part of the transformation plan. Clearly now it has become my number one priority.
Mr De Ferrari refused multiple times to provide more information about the shock resignation of AMP Australia boss Alex Wade, claiming further explanation could jeopardise internal complaints processes and the “safety” of staff.
