Coronavirus outbreak forces Royal Melbourne Hospital to close wards, move patients offsite – ABC News
As more than 100 cases are linked to the hospital, management closes four wards, saying much of the hospital’s infrastructure has not been set up to care for patients with COVID-19.

Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Royal Park campus has been forced to shut wards and move patients to other hospitals after acoronavirus outbreak amongst staff and patients.

- Coronavirus patients are being moved to more “contemporary” wards and back to aged care settings
- Patients receiving other care have been transferred offsite this week
- The nurse’s union says it’s in daily talks with management to help alleviate staff concerns
