Police fatally shoot 34-year-old woman who drove car at officers in South Melbourne
Police have shot and killed a woman who drove a car at officers as they attempted to arrest a man allegedly wielding a machete.
Acting Assistant Commissioner Therese Fitzgerald said one officer was struck by the car during the attempted arrest on Cecil Street in South Melbourne after 5pm.
