Beijing calls JD Vance ‘ignorant’ over ‘Chinese peasants’ remark

Vice President JD Vance has been labelled “ignorant” by the Chinese government after he said America’s economic model was reliant on “Chinese peasants”.

Mr Vance’s comments, made in an interview on Fox News last week, have gone viral on Chinese social media platforms in recent days.
