Mauro Schmid wins Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race in brutal temperatures

Mauro Schmid has held off the favourites to win an exceedingly hot Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race on Sunday in Geelong.

Schmid, riding for Australian team Jayco AlUla, never had a gap of more than 15 seconds after he attacked on the downhill with 10 kilometres to go.
