Venues could face closures if COVID-19 breaches continue – Sydney Morning Herald
NSW Liquor and Gaming is warning there will be no more second chances for venues when it comes to adhering to social distancing regulations and the next step is temporary closures.
When inspectors arrived at the pub, they found three staff on-site despite the venue being busy.
“The list of breaches grew from there. In fact, the venue was essentially being operated as though there were no restrictions,” Mr Argeres said.
He said the Garry Owen was not registered as a COVIDSafe venue, did not have an up-to-date COVID-19 safety plan, was not signing people in, enforcing physical distancing or telling patrons to stay seated.
