Former Manchester United defender Neville in frame for Matildas job: report – Sydney Morning Herald
Phil Neville has emerged as a shock candidate to become the next coach of Australia’s national women’s team, according to reports from the UK.

Neville had eyed a move into club football after the expiry of his England deal next year but The Daily Mail has touted the Matildas post as a “convenient” way for him to make an early exit, which would suit both parties.
Neville guided England to the semi-finals of last year’s Women’s World Cup before they were beaten 2-1 by eventual champions the United States, who were coached by Ellis. The 43-year-old had no prior experience in the women’s game but is said to be well-liked by players.
