A new study involving US Navy dolphins shows how their varying aging patterns can inform human medicine in the future.
Aging leaves no one behind,
but humans all experience the process differently, based on genetics and lifestyle factors.
Conversely, dolphins used by the US Navy tend to exist within a pretty uniform set of circumstances diet and habitat are roughly the same for all individuals.
