National job vacancies up 46.5 per cent, but ‘great resignation’ not to blame, ABS says

COVID-19 has put the Australian jobs market into a spin and left Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) staff taken aback by the sheer volume of vacancies. 

According to the ABS’s seasonally adjusted data estimates for the three months to August, there were 333,700 job vacancies in Australia…
