Melbourne midfielder cops four-match ban for brutal sling tackle on young Crow – Fox Sports
Melbourne’s Alex Neal-Bullen has been suspended for four matches by the AFL Tribunal for his sling tackle on young Crow Will Hamill, which left the 19-year-old concussed on Wednesday night.
Match Review Officer Michael Christian deemed the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.
Neal-Bullens representative argued the impact of the incident should be graded as high rather than severe, while the AFL argued a penalty of four matches would be advised for what it deemed severe impact.
