Insiders say the Andrews government’s lack of engagement with business leaders may be exacerbating the COVID-19 crisis, as Victoria’s Trade Minister admitted he’s never met Solomon Lew, one of the state’s largest employers.
Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas, on the right of Mr Andrews’ Labor government and seen as closest to business, scrambled to convene a telephone hook-up with the BCA’s leading CEO members on Wednesday night, as confusion and frustration reigned.
