Melbourne uni to cut 450 staff after $1b revenue hit – The Australian Financial Review
Staff rejected a pause in pay rises last month which added to the difficult financial situation.
The specific positions to go had not been decided, but the 450 jobs are all full-time roles and represent about 7 per cent of the university workforce.
Last month the University of New South Wales said it would cut its workforce by 493 positions or 7 per cent. Monash University said 277 staff would go as it battled the downturn.
