Bird restrictions in Golden Plains – Bay 93.9

Permits are now needed to move birds and products into, out of and within the Golden Plains Shire.
Restricted or control areas are now in force after avian flu was detected on a farm near Lethbridge.
The impacted property has been quarantined and birds are being destroyed.
Agriculture Victoria says birds or products, such as eggs and manure, cannot be sold or given away without a permit.
That includes selling eggs from a property or market.
