A new study from the Tokyo University of Science shows how infrared lasers can destroy harmful plaques that build up in Alzheimer’s brains.

A notable characteristic of several well-known neurodegenerative diseasessuch as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’sis the formation of harmful plaques that contain aggregates of amyloid proteins, also known as fibrils.
