Injured hiker spends more than eight hours in 38-degree heat in bushland

An injured female hiker has spent eight hours stranded in Queensland bushland in scorching heat on Monday before she was winched to safety by a rescue helicopter.
The woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, fell and injured her leg about 7am during her multi-hour bushwalk on the Sunshine Coast.
