12 players from Melbourne United test positive for COVID-19 – Wide World of Sports
‘This is a challenging time’
The NBL has confirmed 12 players from Melbourne United have tested positive for COVID-19.
The announcement comes after Victoria was declared a state of disaster with stage four restrictions to be imposed.
Both Victorian NBL teams, United and South East Melbourne Phoenix, will remain in lockdown after training was suspended last week when United players Mitch McCarron and Jo Lual-Acui reportedly tested positive for coronavirus.
