Crowd size and social distancing under review after Sunshine Coast NRL game – Brisbane Times
The Melbourne Storm called for a review of the Sunshine Coast Stadium practices after its weekend game drew an almost-capacity coronavirus crowd to the stands and grassy hill.
“We do, however, acknowledge that there remains some issues with allowances for social distancing,” the council said.
A total of 5437 people attended the fixture on Sunday. Footage showed a packed grassy hill on its eastern side.
Dr Young said five Queensland Health staff on the ground would have a better idea of the situation than those viewing footage from TV, and as far as she saw “everyone did the right thing”.
