New car sales jump 33pc despite lockdowns – The Australian Financial Review
WA, Qld, SA and Tasmania experienced 30 per cent-plus increases in new vehicle sales, with Toyota making up 25pc of total sales….
Vehicle sales in Western Australia were up 32.3 per cent. Queensland sales rose by 32.2 per cent and South Australia 37.4 per cent. Tasmania generated a 47 per cent rise. The lockdown in the ACT put sales into reverse by 28 per cent.
