Two Melbourne local government areas now have more than 600 active coronavirus cases after the states biggest day of the pandemic.
On Thursday, Victoria recorded 723 new cases of the virus, bringing the state total to almost 10,000 with 5385 of those active.

The states health department revealed all Melbourne areas still have at least one active coronavirus case, with Wyndham and Brimbank the highest recording 601 and 651 respectively.
