Alexagate is a gloriously unnecessary tool to stop Amazon Echo from listening – Android Authority
It appears to do the job, but there are much easier ways to stop Echo devices from listening.
- Mschf has released an Alexagate device that uses ultrasonic sound to block Amazon Echo microphones.
- It appears to work, but its utterly unnecessary and raises questions about why you have a speaker.
Its understandable that you might be concerned about the privacy of Amazon Echo speakers and other devices that are always waiting for your command, but one solution to that privacy might be overkill.
