Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Robert Redfield says the US endured “two to three weeks” of infection from Europe, “before realising what was happening”.
The United States was “two or three weeks” behind in recognising the coronavirus threat from Europe, according to Centers for Disease Control boss Robert Redfield.
Dr Redfield said early March was the period when large-scale “seeding” of the virus took place in the world’s worst-affected nation in terms of cases and fatalities.
