Westpac appoints new COO as CFO exits – The Australian Financial Review
Westpac has consolidated its group technology and operations divisions under a new chief operations officer, Scott Collary, but the exodus of members of former CEO Brian Hartzer’s front bench continues.
Jason Yetton, who is running Westpac’s ‘specialist business’ unit after returning from Commonwealth Bank, will take over Westpac strategy, including the relationships with outside investments such as Zip, and Reinventure Group, the bank’s venture capital fund that has made strategic investments in many fintech start-ups. Mr Yetton was closely involved setting up Reinventure alongside Mr Thursby and Mr Hartzer.
