Former BlackRock Australia boss named Cbus CEO – The Australian Financial Review
Justin Arter will take the reins at the $56 billion industry fund from green finance champion David Atkin, who is stepping down after 12 years at the helm.
He was BlackRock’s Australian country head from 2012 to 2016 and was seen as an advocate for superannuation fund clients actively managing members’ retirement assets, despite his employer’s global reputation as a pioneer of passive and index-tracking exchange-traded funds.
He ran Victorian government-owned VFMC for three years after an almost two-decade career at Goldman Sachs and the now National Australia Bank-owned private wealth management firm JBWere.
