Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said people should be ‘extremely happy’ with the COVID update on Wednesday.
Queensland has recorded just one new locally-acquired case of COVID-19 for the second straight day.
The new case on Wednesday is a close contact of two known cases in Brisbane, increasing confidence that the state is eliminating the spread of the virus.
