Cadbury gifts chocolate in mailboxes in Melbourne, Newcastle, Adelaide and Brisbane

Residents across four Australian states have woken up to a bizarre sight on Wednesday morning, with purple balloons floating out of their mailbox.

The balloons were secretly placed outside selected homes across Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Newcastle.
