Cases linked to Colac abattoir outbreak jump, Geelong infections rise – The Age
An outbreak connected to the Australian Lamb Company in Colac has grown significantly, with authorities establishing a control centre to limit the spread of the virus.
He said daily meetings would be held with the Australian Lamb Company to prevent the virus from spreading further. The abattoir has been shut and some 700 employees told to self-isolate.
Mr Brown said the control centre would enact similar emergency response measures to those deployed in a natural disaster.
We set up those centres whenever theres fire or flood, he said. It allows us to respond quickly and immediately in a way that takes account of local circumstances.
