‘Had little hope’: O’Brien’s Ponga admission that could cost Knights star Origin II

Knights coach Adam OBrien admits star fullback Kalyn Ponga should have stayed in Newcastle rather than going to Origin camp and it may have put his Game II hopes in jeopardy.
Ponga was picked in the Queensland team and went up to the Maroons camp before eventually being replaced by Valentine Holmes and his club coach believes it may have put his hopes of playing in Game II at risk.
I guess by going up there he was some hope, OBrien said of Pongas chances of playing in Origin I.
