Dane Gagai sits out Queensland Maroons training with illness – Wide World of Sports
Days out from series opener
Queensland Maroons star Dane Gagai has been forced to sit out training just days out for Origin I after coming down with tonsillitis.
The Maroons confirmed this morning that Gagai is now receiving treatment and “will sit out of training today” as a result of the illness.

“Maroons doctor Matt Hislop confirmed Gagai is being treated with a course of antibiotics for tonsillitis,” the Maroons’ statement read.
