Victoria Deputy Chief Health Officer Professor Allen Cheng says vaccine providers are running off a “small stockpile” of Pfizer jabs amid a surge in vaccinations across the state.
Victoria’s latest coronavirus outbreak has seen increased demand for the vaccine with the Department of Health confirming 23,921 doses were administered over the past 24 hours.
“There is a constraint on the Pfizer vaccines in Victoria, if we had more, we would give more,” Professor Cheng told reporters.
