Vale Ross Taylor – The Science Show – ABC News
Professor Ross Taylor analysed lunar rocks brought back by the Apollo missions. He died aged 95 on 30th May 2021.

Professor Ross Taylor was born in 1925 and educated in New Zealand. He died on 30th May 2021. Ross worked in Oxford University, the University of Cape Town and at the Australian National University. In 1969 and 1970 Ross Taylor carried out initial chemical analyses of lunar samples brought back to Earth by Apollo 11 and 12. In 1979 he spoke with Robyn Williams about his analysis of lunar rocks brought back by the Apollo 16 mission and what they revealed about the early Moon.
