In one of the rarest sights so far this season, Tigers hooker Jacob Liddle has pounced on a loose ball and zoomed away for a 90-metre try untouched.
Panthers fullback Dylan Edwards retrieved the footy on the right edge 34 minutes into the game and tried to thread a grubber into the Tigers’ in-goal area, but the ball ended up in Liddle’s hands and the stocky rake took off.
Nine commentator Mat Thompson didn’t think Liddle had the pace to hold Penrith’s chasers off, but the unheralded No.9 proved…
