Peter Wegner wins the 100th Archibald Prize for his portrait of fellow artist and centenarian Guy Warren.

It’s six times lucky for Melbourne artist Peter Wegner, who has won the 100th Archibald Prize for his portrait of fellow artist and previous Archibald winner Guy Warren, also in his 100th year.
Wegner, a finalist for the sixth time in 2021, won against a field of 52 finalists that included previous winners Euan Macleod and Fiona Lowry, and stalwarts Jun Chen, Kate Beynon, James Powditch, Tsering Hannaford and Lucy Culliton.
